More than a hundred horses and riders parade through the town streets performing tricks such as rearing up on the horse’s hind legs to entertain the crowds. Trying the traditional drink ‘Pomada’ is a focal point of the festival – and this delightful mix of local Menorcan gin and bitter lemonade is delicious. If you’re after some more lively nightlife while you’re there, the capital Mahón is only a short taxi ride away, with its harbour offering a great spot for drinks and a vibrant atmosphere.
Dining and Entertainment
Es Casino Bar and Restaurant and Es Moli de Foc Restaurant are two of the finest eateries on Menorca. There is no better place to try out traditional Menorcan cuisine than Es Moli de Foc and you can also enjoy an artisan beer in the adjoining brewery. Es Casino is a very popular and friendly local bar and is well known for its live jazz evenings.
