Online University Offers Course Discounts to Maine Employees
(firmenpresse) - BOSTON, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/30/11 -- (NECB) today announced a partnership with the (MDF) to support workforce development for 120 Committed Employers and their employees across the state of Maine. The partnership is being realized through MDF's , which provides Maine's public and private employers with technical assistance, training and statewide recognition for taking steps to promote educational and career advancement opportunities for their employees.
The agreement extends a 25% discount on courses to employees of the 120 Maine Employer's Initiative and their families for online coursework at NECB. A $1,100 undergraduate course, for example, will be offered for $675, and a graduate course that normally costs $1,960, will be available for $1,460. Founded in 1909 as an educator for financial institutions, NECB is a fully accredited Boston institution offering undergraduate and graduate degrees through online programs.
Howard E. Horton, Esq., president of NECB, commented, "In today's economic climate, employees are looking to improve their skill sets to both maintain and advance in their jobs, and employers are trying to enhance the value their employees can bring to their organizations.
