The system is used widely across the Oil & Gas industry providing a full suite of telematics applications, including an electronic on-board recorder (EOBR), tri-mode communication and inthinc's proprietary driver safety system.

Working with the largest oil and gas companies around the world for more than a decade, inthinc has proven experience meeting the industry's unique needs. The capabilities provides include MPG and idle time tracking, trip reports, IFTA tax reporting and other functionality enabling compliance with federal regulations for commercial vehicles.

Additionally, inthinc with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) rule -- taking effect in 2012 -- requiring interstate vehicles to use electronic hours-of-service (HOS) driver logs. The enables companies to automatically track drivers' hours behind the wheel, ensuring accurate time-keeping while reducing the paperwork for drivers and management.
