Three Level, Three Channel MOSFET Driver From Supertex Delivers High Performance in Ultrasound Applications
MD1716 Minimizes Power Consumption While Providing Superior Imaging
(firmenpresse) - SUNNYVALE, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/31/11 -- Supertex (NASDAQ: SUPX), a recognized leader in high voltage analog and mixed signal integrated circuits (ICs), today introduced MD1716, a three channel logic controller with twelve low impedance MOSFET gate drivers. When paired with a complementary MOSFET array, such as the Supertex TC8020, MD1716 forms a three channel, three level, high voltage, high speed, transmit pulser chip-set for high resolution imaging in medical ultrasound applications.
MD1716 has two separate gate drive voltage controls to minimize power consumption. It generates a three level waveform that is well-suited for CW, PW, and color Doppler ultrasound imaging. The IC has +/-2ns matched delay times, a 10ns propagation delay and a 6.5ns rise and fall time with a 1.0nF load.

The MD1716 is available in a 40-lead QFN package (MD1716K6-G). The part is RoHS compliant. Samples are available now. Lead-time for production quantities is 4-6 weeks ARO. Pricing is US$3.63 each for the MD1716K6-G in 1K quantities.
