Nanotron’s Child Loss Protection Solutions (CLOPS) increases child safety in public places.(firmenpresse) - Berlin, August 30, 2011. The leading developer and supplier of Loss Protection Solutions, Nanotron Technologies, designed a cost efficient service for operators of public places: "Child Loss Protection Solutions" (CLOPS). The innovative service prevents young children from getting lost in public places and helps to reunite accidently separated families in a reliable way. CLOPS can be offered as an additional service by theme park operators, shopping malls, playgrounds, hotel premises, train stations, airports and other crowed or secluded places etc.
CLOPS consists of two components, a parent and a child unit. The solution has two major functionalities: CLOPS protect and CLOPS find. The parent unit generates an alarm, when the child leaves the virtual safety zone, in case of an emergency CLOPS find can locate children or parents.

CLOPS is easy to use: Upon entering a theme park families obtain one parent unit and one unit per child, which are automatically linked with each other. The virtual safety zone around the parent unit is enabled. When a child is about to leave this zone, the parent will be alerted.
CLOPS can be used with generic or branded child and parent units – the CLOPS devices. CLOPS protect can serve as a stand-alone solution; it does not require any infrastructure, only the CLOPS devices. CLOPS find works with anchors positioned throughout the park serving as reference points. The anchors collect all find-requests from a parent or a child and help to locate the missing party.
