Klaus Jacobs appointed further Managing Director of Schaltbau GmbH
Munich, 2 September 2011 - Mr Klaus Jacobs, MBA (46) has been appointed as
additional Managing Director of Schaltbau GmbH, Munich with effect from 1
September 2011. Mr Jacobs will be taking over the duties previously
performed by long-serving Managing Director Hans Kudlacek in the fields of
Marketing and Sales. Mr Kudlacek (63) will be resigning from company
service for reasons of age at the end of the year.
After completing his studies in business administration, followed by a
further degree in the USA, Klaus Jacobs then worked in various capacities
for the Rheinmetall Group before becoming Business Unit Manager within the
Freudenberg Group. Most recently he was Chairman of the Management Board
at Arriva-Deutschland GmbH.
Hans Kudlacek has worked for Schaltbau GmbH since the year 2000 and played
a major role in guiding the successful expansion of the company. In
particular the establishing of the company's overseas subsidiaries is
largely due to his outstanding abilities.
Schaltbau GmbH is a wholly owned affiliated company of Schaltbau Holding
AG.
With annual sales of EUR 300 million and a staff of around 1,600 employees,
the Schaltbau Group is a leading supplier of components and systems for
transport and engineering technology. The Group supplies complete railway
crossings and door systems for buses and trains and industrial brake
systems for container cranes as well as energy supply systems and high- and
