If you prefer to stay dry you might want to spend a few hours at the Tignespace sporting
complex. Some of the many activities on offer include tennis, squash, badminton,
trampolines, a bouldering wall and a climbing wall (the climbing wall requires you to have
your own rope and harness).
Catch a Movie
Val Claret has a two-screen cinema where you can relax in front of a host of new release
features – including 3D movies. There are a couple of screenings in the evenings and often
also during the day, if the weather precludes a good day out on the slopes. You can find out
what’s on at the local tourist office and the cinema features films for both adults and children.
Hit the Lanes
If bowling’s your bag you’re in luck, as there’s a ten-lane bowling alley in La Lac. When
you’ve exhausted your skills with a bowling ball you can also play a few games on the pool
tables.
Get Pampered
Looking for the ultimate rest day for your aching ski muscles? Treat yourself to a pampering
day at one of the many luxury spas in the resort. As well as a range of beauty treatments
and facials, you can indulge in massage, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam rooms.
Mountain Biking on the Snow
Avid mountain bikers are in for a treat with one of the more unusual activities available here.
While you may be used to tearing down a hillside in the summer, when you get to do it on
snow it offers a whole new level of fun! After the pistes close to skiers it’s the turn of the
snow bikers, and this exciting sport will leave you breathless for all the right reasons.
Ice Diving
This is one for the true adventurer, and heading beneath the surface of the frozen lake is
one of the most unique experiences you’ll ever have. Participants don a special ‘dry suit’ and
lower themselves into a hole in the ice to explore a very unusual underwater world. The
activity is safe, highly supervised and suitable for even someone who’s never dived before.
