Tix Corporation Announces Annual Meeting Results
(firmenpresse) - STUDIO CITY, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 09/02/11 -- Tix Corporation (the "Company" or "Tix") (OTCQX: TIXC) (PINKSHEETS: TIXC), a leading entertainment company providing discount ticketing services and branded event merchandising, is pleased to announce the results of two proposals voted on by stockholders at today's annual meeting of stockholders, held at Sportsmen's Lodge Events Center, 12833 Ventura Boulevard, Studio City, California 91604.
Proposal 1 relating to election of directors - Stockholders elected all eight board nominees to serve until next year's annual meeting of stockholders. The individuals that were elected are Norman Feirstein, Mitch Francis, Benjamin Frankel, Sam Georges, Andrew Pells, Vadim Perelman, Mark D. Stolper and Kenneth H. Traub.
Proposal 2 relating to ratification of independent registered public accountant - Stockholders ratified the appointment of Weinberg & Company, P.A. as the Company's independent registered public accountant for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2011.
Tix Corporation is an entertainment company providing discount ticketing services and branded event merchandising. It currently operates eleven discount ticket stores in Las Vegas under the Tix4Tonight marquee, which offer up to a 50 percent discount for same-day shows, concerts, attractions and sporting events, as well as reservations for discount dining. The Company is also engaged in branded merchandise development and sales activities related to museum exhibitions and other events, including the King Tutankhamun, Cleopatra and Real Pirates tours as well as selling themed souvenir memorabilia and collectors items in specialty stores in conjunction with the specific events and venues.
