GERRY WEBER's Retail segment improves on last year's excellent results
Net sales revenues in August amounted to EUR 17.9 million, which represents
an increase of 20% on the previous year.
Like-for-like sales in Germany again showed a very pleasant trend, with the
Houses of GERRY WEBER reporting a 4.1% increase. In this context, it should
be noted that last year's figures were already very high and that the
summer holiday season kept growth at a moderate level.
The Spanish HoGWs reported a similar growth rate for August (+4.7%). 'The
Spanish market is not easy at present but given the circumstances we are
quite satisfied with the results,' said Managing Director Ralf Weber. Even
better results were achieved in Denmark, where like-for-like sales
increased by 5.8%.
