Neopost UK Raises Record Funds for Saint Francis Hospice
(firmenpresse) - ROMFORD, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 09/06/11 -- Neopost Limited, Europe's number one supplier of mailing solutions, announced today that they have raised a total of GBP 907.60, via their employee volunteering scheme, for Saint Francis Hospice in a recent collection at a Romford based supermarket.
Shoppers got more than they bargained for when they were greeted by an array of Neopost employees dressed as characters from the Wizard of Oz, with Managing Director, Mike Stone, leading by example in the fund-raising activity in a Cowardly Lion suit. This event was the latest in a range of activities involving Neopost employees as part of Neopost's active commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility.
Saint Francis Hospice is an independent charity and one of the largest adult hospices in the UK. Two thirds of the hospices' running costs are funded by donations. The money raised will go towards providing care for patients with life limiting illnesses.
Lynda Head, Saint Francis Hospice Community Fundraising Manager, said: "It was great fun working with the staff from Neopost who readily took up our invite to dress up in costume to help us promote our Yellow Brick Road appeal. Staff and customers from Tesco really enjoyed the mood and atmosphere created by the Neopost team and this resulted in the most generous collection total to date at a local store."
