Edvantage group announces record growth in first half of 2011
(Thomson Reuters ONE) -
Oslo, Norway, 06 September 2011 - Edvantage group, Europe's leading provider of
cloud-based learning and performance solutions, announces double-digit revenue
growth and record profitability growth in the first half of 2011, increasing
EBITA by 168% to 5,9 million NOK compared to 2,2 million NOK in the first half
of 2010.
During the first six months of 2011, Edvantage group aggressively drove product
development, announcing new versions of its SaaS-based solutions and
strengthening its channel partner programme across Europe. The company was also
recognised by industry analyst, Brandon Hall, for excellence in the 'Best
Advance in Technology for Rich-Media Authoring.'
Edvantage group's growth is being driven by the adoption of cloud-based learning
and performance solutions including the Learning Gateway learning management
system, CourseBuilder, a content authoring platform, and customised and off-the-
shelf learning content. Subscriber growth, combined with renewals of Edvantage
group's Software-as-a-Service solutions, resulted in sales increase of 31
percent. Edvantage group also produced over 100 customised learning programmes
during the first half year, helping organisations address important business
challenges such as developing leadership skills, increasing innovation, driving
channel effectiveness, increasing worker safety, and improving compliance with
work regulations.
Edvantage group has more than 500 clients in the private and public sectors
across Europe. New clients include industry leaders such as Abu Dhabi Commercial
Bank, Bauhaus, HM Treasury, Travis Perkins, The Phone House, Sony Ericsson, and
SINTEF.
"The completeness of our offering and our ability to provide solutions that
adapt to an organisation's needs, without costing a fortune or locking them into
long term commitments, is a clear differentiator for us in a competitive
market," stated Thomas Berglund, CEO, Edvantage group. "Our vision of helping
organisations achieve more, not only by leveraging the latest learning
technologies but also through a greater focus on the learner, is gaining
momentum. This profitable growth is a strong testament to our business model,
our dedication to achieving clients' objectives and our continuing investment in
innovation."
