Rare Eye Condition in Children Corrected With Surgery
Akron Children's Hospital Slows the "Dancing" Eye

(firmenpresse) - WEST HARTFORD, CT -- (Marketwire) -- 09/07/11 -- BroadcastMed, Inc.'s surgical web portal ORLive.com is proud to present a premiere web program highlighting the procedure to correct a rare eye condition called infantile nystagmus. About one in 3,000 people have infantile nystagmus, which causes rapid, uncontrollable eye movements that often blur vision. While there is no cure, a surgical procedure designed to slow the "dancing" eye has shown promising results. Ophthalmologist Richard Hertle from Akron Children's Hospital will be discussing this procedure in a premiere web program.
