iDTRONIC Mobile Solutions has expanded its product portfolio with a rugged mobile computer for ATEX protection zone II. The C2 ATEX impresses with the latest Android 10 "Q" version as a product innovation in the ATEX area. This handheld is equipped with an NFC reader and 2D Barcode scanner. The ATEX Mobile Computer is optimally suited for industrial companies in the field of chemical and petrochemical plants, refineries, water and waste water treatment as well as for explosive areas "above ground”.

The Mobile Computer C2 ATEX offers optimal performance in demanding IoT processes with the new Android 10 "Q" operating system. Android 10 "Q" includes numerous improvements in security and the WLAN security standard WPA3 has been optimised. The access rights of installed apps can be managed and controlled even better thanks to new options. Latest IoT regulations have been adapted to the new 5G network. Our C2 ATEX with Android 10 can be operated with the new desktop mode on corresponding monitors.
► The Mobile Handheld Solution for Hazardous Areas
Since 2003, only robust devices and systems that comply with the ATEX product guidelines may be used within explosion-hazardous zones. For this purpose, we now offer our C2 ATEX with Android 10 "Q" and also with an NFC reader and 2D barcode scanner for protection zone II. Group II applies to areas "above ground", such as chemical and petrochemical plants, refineries, water and wastewater treatment plants, construction sites, etc. The Mobile Computer C2 ATEX has the ATEX certifications: EN 60079-0:2012+A11:2013, EN 60079-11:2012 and EN 60079-31:2014. It is approved for use in zones II 2 G Ex ib IIC T3 Gb and II 2 D Ex tb III T3 Db. This ATEX Mobile Computer complies with the applicable explosion protection directives 2014/34/EU and is marked with the prescribed approval.
► Mobile Computing with Barcode Reader or RFID-Reader
The Mobile Computer is equipped with a NFC Reader and the integrated NFC chip works in 13.56 MHz environments. Thanks to latest barcode technology, the mobile computer can read 2D QR codes and 1D barcodes. Scan-intensive tasks in demanding environments can be handled with the optionally available ergonomic grip. The integrated wireless communication options: WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS transmit the captured data quickly and directly to your system.
► Including Software Development Kit and Demo Software
The Mobile Computer C2 ATEX is supplied with a software development kit for Android Studio & Eclipse systems. This supports the programming language: Javascript. The use of the SDK simplifies the connection to your existing systems.
