Possehl Online Solutions cooperates with e-commerce specialist eCube
(Augsburg, 24.06.2021) Possehl Online Solutions is accelerating the development of its B2B e-commerce software and cooperating with the Munich-based company eCube. The young start-up Possehl Online Solutions is located in Augsburg and has thus once again decided to cooperate with an experienced IT company in their region.

Possehl Online Solutions now has a proven expert in the field of B2B e-commerce on board. While many well-known providers of online store software come from the USA, Possehl Online Solutions relies on regional partnerships. With over 20 years of experience, the e-commerce specialists at eCube are currently advising the Possehl Online Solutions team on the development of front-end solutions for digital B2B sales. In addition, the cooperation project focuses on optimizing master data management for online retail.

Vision of the future to become reality in fall
According to a recent study by VDMA and McKinsey & Company, only 0.7% (equivalent to about six billion euros) of total European sales in mechanical engineering are currently generated on digital platforms. Since the Corona pandemic in particular, companies in traditional industries have been keen on exploiting the great potential of digital B2B sales. However, the requirements in the mechanical and plant engineering industry are very individual and specific. "With the experts from eCube, we have a lot of additional know-how in B2B e-commerce at our disposal. Together with our industry experience, we can create the necessary conditions for a modern and high-performance software specifically for B2B online commerce in the machinery and plant engineering sector," says Alexander Wachter, CEO at Possehl Online Solutions, explaining the cooperation decision of the Augsburg-based company, which was founded in December 2020. With the help of its modular software system in the form of a microservices architecture, modules can be put together individually for customers and set up both as a brand shop and as a marketplace. The launch of the company's own marketplace "MyPossehl" for B2B sales in the mechanical and plant engineering sector is planned before the end of this year.
