Imtech: order book in Hungary increases to almost 100 million euro
(Thomson Reuters ONE) -
Gouda - Imtech (technical services provider in Europe) is announcing that its
order book in Hungary has grown in a short time to almost 100 million euro. At
the end of May 2011, Imtech acquired the Hungarian activities of YIT, since
renamed Imtech Hungary Industrial Services. In June 2011, Imtech announced the
first Hungarian orders for Audi and Ceva, valued at 27 million euro. Now Imtech
is announcing that it has received new orders to the value of approximately 57
million euro from Audi again as well as from Infineon. Together with various
smaller projects this has resulted in a well-filled order book.
René van der Bruggen, CEO Imtech: 'The combination of local presence and German
technological competences makes it possible that Imtech has immediately become
one of the strongest technical players in Hungary. This makes it possible to
fulfil with verve the role of technology partner for prominent European
customers that are, or will be, active in Hungary. It fits with our 2015 growth
strategy of also building a strong position in Eastern Europe.'
New orders from Audi in Györ: sustainable power plant and technical
infrastructure for bodywork and assembly plant
Car manufacturer Audi is considerably expanding its production capacity in Györ.
The aim is to produce around 125,000 Audi cars per year here by 2013. As one of
Audi's permanent technology partners in Germany and with its new Hungarian site,
Imtech is now also capable of fulfilling this role to expand Audi activities in
Györ. Imtech will realise a new decentralised power plant with a thermal
capacity of 100 MW. This highly efficient plant, forming the heart of the new
production facilities, covers the entire energy provision needs for media
distribution purposes (heating, cooling, electricity, compressed air, natural
gas, water etc.) required to produce the desired number of Audi cars. The
energy-efficient plant is characterised by its extremely low CO2 emissions. At
the same time, Imtech will provide the complete technical infrastructure for the
new bodywork plant, with all the facilities required for media distribution
purposes. Imtech had already received a similar contract for a new assembly
plant, but is now also responsible for fire protection, specific aeration,
process air and the removal of harmful gases using specific Imtech technology,
and numerous other technical facilities. All technical solutions for the
bodywork and assembly plant will be operational within a year. The sustainable
power plant will also be delivered in 2012.
Expansion and energy upgrade for Infineon in Cegléd
In Germany, Imtech is one of the permanent technology partners of semi-conductor
producer Infineon Technologies. This company also has a manufacturing facility
in Cegléd in Hungary. The facility is being expanded and, at the same time,
specific electro technical adaptations are being utilised to provide an energy-
efficient energy supply. Imtech will provide all technical solutions, including
the high-tech building automation, safety and fire protection. The project will
be completed within a year.
