Tapiola selects Tieto as its partner for developing internet services

Tieto and Tapiola are starting a new, jointly run internet journal development
project to standardize the technical environment and applications of Tapiola's
internet journals, forming a single entity. The reform will include Tapiola
Group's Sijoitustalous (Investment Finance) and Oma Talous (Own Finance)
internet journal sites. The first phase, Sijoitustalous.fi, will be completed
by February 2012. The project replaces part of the publishing system of
Tapiola's internet services and sites.
"Tapiola has made significant investments in electronic communication and paper-
free service. Using internet journals we can provide more relevant communication
and serve customers' information requirements quickly and flexibly. In the same
context, we will discontinue the paper journals, which will bring us real
savings. Our aim is to provide an improved reading experience on the internet,
for which the technology delivered by Tieto provides a very good starting
point," says Jyrki Antikainen, Communications Director, Tapiola. "The solution
also supports the principles of sustainable development in accordance with our
strategy."
