The ranch, which had an asking price of $10 million, is bordered on three sides by the Rio Grande National Forest and the Bureau of Land Management. The log home, which has been Smith's primary residence since his retirement, contains wood beams, Amish hickory flooring and western architectural influence. The master suite has an indoor hot tub with a deck overlooking the outside waterfall and pond, two-story stone fireplaces and in-floor heating throughout.
The auction will take place on Thursday, September 22 at Old Cow Town Ranch, located at 36710 County Road 36 CC in Saguache, Colo.
