Neopost Limited Secures GBP 30 Million National Framework Agreement for Mailroom Solutions from Pro5
(firmenpresse) - ROMFORD, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 09/14/11 -- Neopost Limited, Europe's largest mailroom solutions manufacturer, announced today that, after a competitive tendering process via OJEU procurement procedures, it has been selected as one of the approved suppliers for a national framework agreement for the whole of the wider public sector.
Pro5, consisting of the five largest local authority professional buying organisations in the UK (CBC, ESPO, NEPO, WMS & YPO) with joint spending power of GBP 2 billion per annum, has awarded an initial two year contract (framework agreement no 217). This enables public sector customers to benefit from significant cost and efficiency savings and complies fully with the commitments and recommendations of the Comprehensive Spending Review (CSR 10).
Neopost is the only manufacturer from the postal solutions industry to have served local authority purchasing consortia, central government and the wider public sector on successive framework agreements for fifteen consecutive years.
The government white paper on Localism will set out a seismic shift in the way taxpayers' money is spent, how public services are delivered and the opportunities that devolved budgets can bring. The Localism Bill is the first stage of legislation which will change how the state interacts and enables services, transferring power back to local level and ensuring services are tailored to local needs. Neopost recently saved a local authority GBP 100,000 in their postal expenditure, making a major contribution to efficiency savings targets.
