Kids-Domains: There are new .kids at town
(PresseBox) - The ICANN process of introducing new top level domains is progressing. The Kids-Domain has been registered in the so-called root zone since April 4th. The sunrise period starts on August 11, 2022. During the sunrise period, trademark owners can register their trademarks at the Kids-Domain as a domain of the same name. The trademarks must be registered at the Trademark Clearinghouse .
Some companies and organizations have not yet registered their important terms as trademarks. Such companies and organizations can also get a Kids-Domain in the sunrise period.
Secura GmbH can procure the appropriate brand at short notice and the companies or organizations can participate at the sunrise period of the Kids-Domains. Secura GmbH will register the new brand with the Trademark Clearinghouse and then register the corresponding Kids-Domain.
The Kids-Domain is a special internet area for everything that concerns children. The Kids-Domains are a child-focused website for children, parents, educators, children's advocacy groups, and like-minded businesses. The Kids-Domain is operated by the DotKids Foundation, a non-profit organization. Dedicated to children and the communities that serve them, the new Kids-Domain is the only domain dedicated to the interests of children.
The following phases of the introduction are planned:
• August 1 through September 14 Sunrise Period
• September 20th to October 19th - Community Sunrise
• October 10 through November 29 - Pioneer Domains
• November 29, 2022 - General Availability
It is advisable to pre-register for the individual phases now in order to secure your desired domains in good time.
