New folding sliding system platform: For more space to flourish
(PresseBox) - The new Schüco AS FD 75/90.HI aluminium folding sliding system platform can be moved completely to the side in slim, compact stacks across an overall width of up to 9 metres. The individual folding sliding vents are available in sizes of up to 3.5 metres tall and 1.5 metres wide, and up to 9 units can be combined together without any fixed lights or fixed vents. Passageways don't come any larger than this. There is a wide range of design options with over 60 opening types. Plenty of natural light is provided by the narrow face widths of the aluminium profiles. These profiles create a slimline frame that meets very high architectural requirements thanks to its attractive flush-fitted look and barely visible joints. As a result, the indoor and outdoor living spaces are able to seamlessly merge together.
The new folding sliding system platform is available in two different basic depths: Schüco AS FD 75 (Aluminium Sliding Folding Door, 75 mm basic depth) and Schüco AS FD 90.HI (Aluminium Sliding Folding Door, 90 mm basic depth, High Insulated).
Variety of opening options
Depending on the building project and the individual wishes of the client, the folding sliding units can open to the inside or outside, in just one direction, or to the left and right like curtains – simple and flexible. For quick access to the outside, an integrated side-hung door can be added so that the whole sliding system doesn't have to be opened. This range of opening options means there is a great deal of freedom during planning as almost every usage requirement can be met.
Maximum transparency
When closed, the vents of the Schüco folding sliding units are connected together in a homogenous way; when open, they extend the living space across almost the entire width. They also impress with the very large dimensions they can accommodate. At up to 3.5 metres in height (AS FD 90.HI) and 1.5 metres in width (AS FD 75/90.HI), they let in a great deal of daylight. For an unimpeded view and that feeling of being close to nature.
Extra comfort
The folding sliding units can be moved to the side easily and almost silently. This is made possible by the newly developed roller carriage, which guides the individual vents along a solid stainless steel track. Depending on the site conditions and user requirements, three threshold heights are available: 4 millimetres (for very good rollover capacity), 15 millimetres (good rollover capacity and watertightness) and 71 millimetres (continuous outer frame, watertightness up to class E750). The new Schüco folding sliding system platform offers burglar resistance to resistance class RC 2.
