(PresseBox) - The "Simple-Flex" series from JAKOB Antriebstechnik is an innovative spacer coupling that can be manufactured from 0.5m to 6m in length and does not require additional intermediate bearings even with large shaft distances. A sophisticated composite tube with a multi-layer, angle-specific fiber configuration enables a particularly simple design that can compensate for axial, radial and angular misalignments without the otherwise necessary coupling compensation elements. With complex simulation calculations and test series, a composite tube was developed that has both bending flexibility and high torsional rigidity. The very low weight and the associated low mass moments of inertia as well as the optimal balancing quality can ensure the highest operating speeds and torques with excellent running smoothness without neglecting to compensate for shaft misalignments. At the same time, the spacer coupling has good damping properties thanks to the composite tube and can therefore reduce vibrations in the drive. Areas of application are therefore positioning tasks in portals, drive units of fans, indirect drives, spindles and test bench applications.

The "Simple-Flex" spacer coupling is available either with a rotationally symmetrical cone clamping ring or with an easy-to-assemble half-shell hub. The half-shell hub offers two radial clamping screws, the lowest mass and moments of inertia and is the more cost-effective version, while the conical hub with the high clamping forces is particularly suitable for high speeds. Other hub designs and tube diameters are also available on request. Among other things, special designs with flange hubs for a variable structure, expanding cone hubs for integrated attachment, form-fitting hub designs with keyways (tolerances for keyway P9 and JS9) or internal gearing (e.g. DIN 5480) are possible.

The three available composite tube sizes are suitable for torques of up to 2900Nm. The spacer couplings are free from play, maintenance and rust and are suitable for temperature ranges from -40°C to 100°C.





Compared to conventional spacer couplings, the Simple-Flex can cover larger areas of application.
