The latest solutions for food processing and packaging applications

(firmenpresse) - The UK’s leading trade event for the food and drink processing, packaging and logistics industries opened its doors in April as part of the UK Food and Drink Shows at the NEC, Birmingham. Busch Vacuum Solutions presented its range of energy-saving solutions and innovations from its booth at the show, such as centralised vacuum systems, OTTO digital services, and R5 rotary vane vacuum pumps with an integrated variable speed drive (VSD).
Foodex Manufacturing Solutions’ visitors were interested to learn about the latest products and services to improve operational efficiency. The vacuum experts from Busch were happy to welcome visitors to the stand to explain how centralised vacuum systems can provide energy savings of up to 70% for food packaging and processing applications, improving performance, reducing cooling demand in the production hall, and enabling a better working environment.
Visitors could access the OTTO digital service dashboard with a live demonstration at the booth. OTTO combines remote condition monitoring with Busch service packages, allowing customers to reduce production costs and downtime. The OTTO dashboard provides an overview of vacuum pump health using measurements from up to 13 different parameters depending on the vacuum pump.
Busch also showcased two R5 oil-lubricated rotary vane vacuum pumps at the booth. The R5 RD 0250, which is optimised for vacuum packaging machines, and came equipped with an OTTO kit. And a high-performing R5 RA 0520, which featured an integrated variable speed drive (VSD) to make energy savings of up to 50% possible, alongside lower CO2 emissions and reduced maintenance costs.
