Good Girls Hate Bad Rumors: Whiskey Girl Is Not Shutting Down; Nightclub Getting Makeover With New Location Beginning of 2012

Whiskey Girl is not shutting down. She's getting a makeover with a new location in early 2012.
"We've been hearing rumors that Whiskey Girl is shutting down for good and that couldn't be farther from the truth," said David Schiffman, one of the partners who owns Whiskey Girl. "Our lease is up at the end of December and we've been scouting new locations in the so that Whiskey Girl will be better than ever when we move."
According to Schiffman, the partnership welcomes the Verant Group to the location it occupied for so many years and wishes them well.
"It's been a great space for us, but it's time for a change in venues so that we can take Whiskey Girl to the next level."
Whiskey Girl features a casual atmosphere with a wide all-American menu selection, spirited staff with a sidekick of sass, and friendly vibe. Every major sporting event is televised from the bar. Dancing and entertainment are available every night of the week with cover bands and DJs mixing the hottest music videos from the classic 80s to today's top 40. On weekends, Karaoke Korner is featured on the lower level.
Whiskey Girl is located at 600 5th Ave., in San Diego, and is owned by partners David Schiffman, Robert Lane and Vania Raitano, who also own in the Hillcrest area of San Diego. Other projects of Schiffman include , , located in the Gaslamp area of San Diego, and , located in Encinitas, Calif.
