(firmenpresse) - SUGAR LAND, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 09/26/11 -- Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- U.S. dropped 8,000 barrels per day during the week ending September 16. The drop is attributed to fall maintenance shutdowns at the country's 209 ethanol production facilities. Approximately 17 plants took a three- to five-day maintenance shutdown in the third quarter of 2011. In addition, the demand for gasoline, generally blended with ethanol, was down 1.7% percent from year-ago levels.
