During your trip along the Schiller Stone, you may be able to read the golden inscription on the rock: “Dem Sänger Tells, F. Schiller, Die Urkantone 1859”. The Schiller monument can only be reached from the water.

The Tell Chapel is located on the shore of Lake Lucerne and marks the spot where, according to legend, William Tell jumped from the boat of the bailiff Gessler, the so-called Tellsplatte.

The panoramic train awaits you in Flüelen, taking you south through the impressive Reuss Valley in Uri along the famous Gotthard railroad line. On this route, you will pass the world-famous church of Wassen three times, known for its bold railroad layout with numerous helical tunnels.

The baroque church in Wassen offers three different perspectives: from below, up close and from above. In addition to the church in Wassen, other highlights include the legendary Schöllenen Gorge, the imposing 2-metre-high Devil’s Stone and the 15-kilometre-long Gotthard railroad tunnel.
