Crossing the Alps on the Bernina Express is undoubtedly one of the most impressive train journeys. During the journey, the Bernina Express passes cinematic scenes as it rolls over the 65-metre-high Landwasser Viaduct, a landmark of the Rhaetian Railway and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Passengers experience fascinating sights such as the Montebello curve with views of the imposing Bernina massif, the Morteratsch glacier, the Lej Pitschen, Lej Nair and Lago Bianco lakes, Alp Grüm and the Brusio circular viaduct.

In summer, it is possible to extend the journey by bus from Tirano to Lugano.
