African Wildlife Foundation Appoints SoCal Entrepreneur Larry Green to Its Board of Trustees

(firmenpresse) - SANTA ANA, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 09/28/11 -- The African Wildlife Foundation (AWF), a leading conservation organization focused solely on the African continent, recently appointed Larry Green, CEO and co-founder of , to its international Board of Trustees. In the position, Green will join other board members in broadening awareness of the issues currently facing Africa's wildlife and wild lands and furthering conservation and fundraising efforts worldwide. Members of the board include past presidents of African countries, executives of Fortune 500 global companies, and others with a passion for conserving Africa's many magnificent species and diverse ecosystems.

Green immigrated to the United States from Johannesburg in 1992 with his wife, Debbie. "As a South African native, Debbie and I have hosted several group visits, with both friends and business partners, to experience the captivating beauty and adventure of Africa," said Green. "I am looking forward to being able to apply my interest, commitment and enthusiasm in African conservation more directly through my role as an AWF trustee."
