XClinical’s EDC System MARVIN Convinces One of Europe’s Premier Pharma Companies
One of XClinical’s customers, the Munich-based CRO OSE Oncology Services Europe S.a.r.l., has just started a large clinical trial for one of Europe’s premier pharmaceutical companies.
(firmenpresse) - XCLINICAL GMBH, Munich, Germany – May 14, 2008 – XClinical, a European vendor of innovative software products for eClinical trials, announced the use of MARVIN, its CDISC ODM certified EDC solution, in a large European multicentric clinical trial conducted by its Munich-based customer, OSE Oncology Services Europe S.a.r.l. (OSE).
The study, initiated by the subsidiary of a global pharmaceutical company, will take place in 20 countries and involves up to 160 sites. OSE, who has only recently joined XClinical’s growing customer list, and was trained on MARVIN in a very short time, is responsible for the project. MARVIN’s special ability to combine EDC (Electronic Data Capture) and DDE (Double Data Entry) was the key feature in being chosen for the mentioned study.
Dr. Markus Zabransky, Global Medical Manager at the Switzerland-based pharmaceutical company, was excited about XClinical’s comprehensive EDC software suite: “The presentation of MARVIN totally convinced me that our collaboration partner, OSE, has chosen the right EDC software solution for our company’s complex and critical clinical trials in biopharmaceuticals.”
