Smarter labeling - applicators for any packaging
Companies specialized in the packing of industrial and consumer goods appreciate the wide range of operations possible with cab print and apply systems, as well as their high integrability to packing lines. At the Fachpack, cab introduces tried and tested applicators with new, optimized control.
cab applicators for any packaging(firmenpresse) - Each HERMES Q model unites a label printer and an applicator. Labels can be individually printed and placed onto packaging. There are various options for applying a label: by pressing, by rolling, while a packaging is moved on a conveyor belt, or by blowing, using compressed air. Which option is applied depends on the applicator selected and its label transfer unit. Printed labels applied onto surfaces with HERMES Q are information carriers. They enable a smooth flow of manufacture and supply chains, as well as reliable internal processes.
Optimized control
cab is gradually supplying HERMES Q applicators with new firmware. Tried and tested features have been kept and new ones added. For example, the applicators can now be set in a more fine-tuned way on a printer, directly on the control panel or remote via its web interface. Various options for calibration and teach-in simplify demands. Firmware updates are installed more rapidly. Settings can be exported and imported, for example, when switching to another printer or applicator. In events of errors, operators will be displayed detailed information, enabling quick return to usual operation.

cab will be exhibiting solutions for printing, dispensing and applying labels, with or without a liner. Exhibits will include address and shipping labels, two-color hazard warnings and printing onto both sides of a label, smart labels and linerless applications.
