The Rheinmetall Oerlikon Skyranger 35 (35x228) turret from Rheinmetall Air Defence will be showcased at Rheinmetall’s DVD 2024 stand. This air defence weapon system is mountable on various wheeled or tracked platforms, fulfilling a typical VSHORAD role.
This highly mobile air defence system, equipped with integrated search and tracking sensors, serves as a powerful, autonomous shooter. It can engage modern battlefield threats, particularly focusing on small, unmanned aerial targets. It combines exceptional firepower with the dynamics and elevation required to effectively engage highly agile single or swarming targets executing loiter pop-up or dive attacks.
When paired with the Oerlikon Ahead air-burst ammunition, the gun achieves high effectiveness against the smallest targets.
