TOPTICA Photonics Expands Executive Board
Pursuant to the company’s growth trajectory, the TOPTICA Group enhances its financial and operational expertise to prepare for continued growth and innovation.
(PresseBox) - TOPTICA Photonics is pleased to announce the addition of two distinguished professionals and long-standing TOPTICA employees to its Executive Board. While Dr. Mathias Schindler has taken on the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO), Fabian Uhl has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Based on TOPTICA’s innovative products and market experience in quantum technology, biotechnology and test & measurement, the company continues its growth path. The strategic expansion is complemented with this additional appointment by strengthening of the operational excellence and financial transparency.
New Additions to the Executive Board
Dr. Mathias Schindler – COO (Chief Operating Officer) – brings extensive experience to his role as COO, where he will manage production, purchasing, logistics, information technology, real estate, and quality assurance. Guided by the principle "making ideas visible," Mathias and his team aim to drive operational efficiency and innovation across TOPTICA's diverse functions.
Fabian Uhl – CFO (Chief Financial Officer) – will be responsible for the group's finances, including accounting, financial planning and control, and corporate contract review. Additionally, he will serve as the primary contact for banks and auditors. "Create transparent and comprehensible finances as a basis for good decisions," says Fabian Uhl, formulating his approach to the new role.
Existing Members of the Executive Board
Dr. Wilhelm Kaenders – Founder & President, CTO (Chief Technology Officer) – remains at the helm of TOPTICA's technological advancements as CTO and is the company’s main representative in the field of quantum technologies. His areas of responsibility include research and development, public funding, customer service as well as quality and process management. Wilhelm's vision of achieving "excellence for continued technology leadership" ensures TOPTICA's pioneering role in the photonics industry.
Dr. Thomas Renner – President, CSO (Chief Sales Officer) – continues his role as CSO, responsible for sales, marketing, public relations, and human resources. He is representing the company in the biotechnology as well as test & measurement market. His dynamic leadership is driven by ”making TOPTICA the most exceptional and astonishing photonics company", reflecting his commitment to excellence in all aspects of customer and market engagement.
Ensuring Ongoing Success and Continuity
The expansion of the company’s executive board ensures the growth trajectory of the TOPTICA group, that has reached €140 million revenue, for the first time in TOPTICA’s history this fiscal year by operating worldwide seven entities. This step follows the recent expansion of office and production space at the Munich headquarters last year from 11,000 to 18,000 m², followed by this year’s extension of the research & development site in Pessac/Bordeaux, France, which serves also group-wide sales and service hub for France. With the addition of Dr. Mathias Schindler and Fabian Uhl the executive board TOPTICA has significantly strengthened its operational and financial expertise to sustain its success in the competitive photonics market place.
