Tieto to provide certain IT application management services to Nokia

(Thomson Reuters ONE) - Tieto Corporation Press Release 20 October 2009 at 1.30 pm EETTieto will provide Nokia Siemens Networks with IT applicationmanagement services for research and development (R&D) relatedapplications and customer care related applications on a globalbasis. In addition, about 75 employees from Nokia Siemens Networksare planned to transfer to Tieto. The transition is expected to befinalized by 1 February 2010.Out of the about 75 transferring employees 40 are based in Finland,25 in China and India and about 10 in other European countries. Thetransaction is based on a global IT service agreement that NokiaSiemens Networks has signed with Tieto.Manfred Immitzer, chief information officer, Nokia Siemens Networkscomments: "Nokia Siemens Networks has successfully partnered withTieto over recent years.
