today announced the availability of its new Stonesoft a2Cloud solution. The
solution offers secure access to the cloud with unparalleled usability and
minimized TCA (Total Cost of Administration) / TCO (Total Cost of Ownership).
Recent trends such as cloud computing and virtualization have defined new
challenges for CIOs and CISOs. To cope with the growing business demands, the
corporate IT is moving towards a cloud based approach. This is blurring the

a2Cloud Solution
Stonesoft's a2Cloud Solution comprises of Authentication Server and SSL VPN,
centrally managed by Management Center. The solution offers secured access to
the cloud through multi-factor and multi-method authentication.
The Authentication Server is seamlessly integrated with the Management Center,
providing ease of configuration, minimized TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and TCA
(Total Cost of Administration) and enhanced reporting. It integrates
transparently with existing user data bases and provides the end users with four
easy-to-use authentication methods.
SSL VPN is a virtual private network (VPN) solution that can be accessed with a
standard Web browser without the need to install specialized client software.The
solution features secure and authenticated access to predefined corporate
applications from any location and from any Web-enabled device.
Intuitive Authentication Methods
The a2Cloud solution provides four strong authentication methods that are
intuitive and convenient to use:
* Password - based on username/password pair
* MobileID Synchronized - dual-factor strong authentication method based on a
one-time password generated onMobileID client token software. To generate
the OTP, the user types in the PIN.
* MobileID Challenge - three-factor strong authentication method based on a
one-time password generated onMobileID client token software. To generate
the OTP, the user types in the PIN and a challenge received by the system.
* Mobile Text - strong authentication method where a one-time password is sent
via a text message.
The SSL VPN offers even additional authentication methods. By combining several
methods, the authentication process can be made even more secure.
