In fall 2024, StepOver introduced a new model to its proven signature pad series: the duraSign Pad 4.3. This modern low-cost model is the direct successor to the long-standing successful naturaSign Pad Mobile and offers numerous improvements, making it stand out from its predecessor both functionally and visually.
High-quality display for a better presentation
Instead of a reflective LCD display, the duraSign Pad 4.3 uses a self-luminous, high-contrast TFT display. This technology enables excellent readability, even in poorly lit environments. As with the predecessor model, the signatory can be shown text excerpts from the document to be signed in black and white. Four colored buttons are available to control the signature pad, ensuring easy operation.
A complete view of the entire document is not possible with this basic model. For these requirements, StepOver continues to offer the larger duraSign Pad Brilliance (5”), duraSign Pad 10.0 and duraSign Pad NG 10 models.
Advanced sensor technology & extreme durability
Another innovation compared to the naturaSign Pad Mobile is the modern sensor technology. The signature is captured using a passive (battery-free) electromagnetic pen (EM pen).
The hardened glass surface in the writing area and the sturdy housing made of polycarbonate ABS make the duraSign Pad 4.3 a durable companion. Unlike the smaller naturaSign Pad Classic, the duraSign Pad 4.3 is therefore also suitable for very high signature volumes, e.g. at checkouts/counters, and is hence the ideal choice for the office and on the go.
Flexibility and security at the highest level
The design of the duraSign Pad 4.3 impresses with practical details such as a vertical and horizontal pen holder. This makes the device not only suitable for stationary, but also for mobile use – for example at external customer appointments.
As with all StepOver signature pads, the biometric data of the signature is already securely encrypted inside the device. The StepOver software solutions automatically securely insert the signature into the document. The connection is then asymmetrically encrypted with an RSA 4096-bit key. The validity of the signature and the document integrity can be checked with freely available software (e.g. Adobe Acrobat Reader).
