(Thomson Reuters ONE) - Toronto - 21, October, 2009 - Thomson Reuters and Alpha todayannounced a new suite of initiatives to address market datafragmentation. Leveraging the two organizations' combined expertisein the Canadian markets and Alpha's technology facilities, ThomsonReuters will provide an independent consolidated tape and hosteddirect feeds.The new suite of services will allow traders to see share pricesoffered across the various exchanges and alternative tradingfacilities in Canada, including Alpha ATS, Pure, Chi-X and the TMXGroup. The fully integrated and enhanced consolidated data offeringwill be derived from order and trade data from the various Canadianequity marketplaces, and will include access to pre- and post-trademarket data.Thomson Reuters feed handlers will be placed adjacent to mostinformation sources including Alpha Trading Systems, providing marketdata access at the lowest possible latency. Clients will be able toaccess all best bid and offer data from and across all contributingmarketplaces. In addition they will have full order book accessattributed by dealer and marketplace.
