Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival Showcases an Explosion of Star Studded Culinary Talent and Personalities
In Collaboration With James Beard Foundation 5th Anniversary Event Expands Exponentially

Since 2006 the Palm Beach Festival has been a singular tasting event hosted at 150 WORTH on Worth Avenue. This year, however, resulting from the perpetually sold-out status and increasing local talent, the fifth-year anniversary of the Festival includes a massive expansion of the programming, growing from the initial 3-hour Grand Tasting walk-around affair to a 5-day multi-location, extravaganza. Some of the events taking place will be at archetypal Palm Beach institutions such as The Four Seasons and . New partners of the Festival include the preeminent James Beard Foundation and local experiential site, Gilt City . Renowned journalist John Mariani will serve as Honorary Chair.

The new events taking place comprise a series of "Friends of Foundation" affairs, including the Beach Bash with Chef Michael Schwartz at Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach; An Evening with John Mariani at The Breakers Palm Beach; Cocktail Culture with Daniel at Café Boulud; and a Friends of James Beard Benefit Dinner with 2011 James Beard "Outstanding Chef: South" Award Winner Stephen Stryjewski, hosted at Palm Beach's hottest new chef-driven restaurant, B?ccan.
The 5th Annual Grand Tasting finale -- and its anticipated Grand Chef Throwdown Presented by Creekstone Farms Premium Black Angus Beef -- will once again take place at 150 WORTH. Food Network's
Simply Delicioso host Ingrid Hoffmann will emcee this year's Grand Chef Throwdown, alongside special celebrity judge Scott Conant, Food Network's 24 Hour Restaurant Battle host and CHOPPED! judge.

Funds raised at Friends of James Beard Benefits are typically distributed in the following manner: 50 percent of the total net revenue is donated to the James Beard Foundation's Educational programs, and 50 percent of the net revenue is donated to a local scholarship administered by the James Beard Foundation, established in names of the Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival and Beard Down South.
