Parallel EV and EVSE testing up to 320 kW– IEC 61851-23 compliant verification, EMC integration and automated test control via comframe software


(PresseBox) - A leading certification and testing laboratory in Thailand is once again relying on comemso for EVSE and EV testing and is modernizing its existing environment (in use since 2018) with the latest generation of hardware and software. The installation includes two comemso EV Charging Analyzers (EVCA) and enables parallel charging tests on two test specimens (EV or EVSE) or combined operation with up to 320 kW – fully automated and safely switchable. The system is  assigned to the 350 kW class and addresses high-power applications in EV Test and EVSE Testing.

Technical highlights and use cases:

Comprehensive AC & DC (CCS) tests incl. Fault simulation according to IEC 61851-23 – indispensable for EVSE tests in terms of performance, safety and robustness

Two 160 kW battery emulators (Gustav Klein) for realistic EV simulation

EMC Link Integration for EMC Chamber Testing

Training on the comframe software for intuitive, automated test sequences

With the upgrade, the laboratory is optimally equipped for high-performance EV and charging infrastructure testing: from development to validation to end-of-line testing (EOL). The modular architecture and flexibility of comframe make the system future-proof and scalable – suitable for EVSE tester requirements in laboratory, production and EMC environments.

The customer has been relying  on e-mobility test solutions from comemso  since 2018 and has  now expanded and modernized its setup due to its many years of satisfaction.
