TRACTO makes users and clients fit for NODIG technology
(PresseBox) - As a solution-oriented system provider, TRACTO supports users with a range of training courses for safe, competent use of trenchless equipment in the utilities, infrastructure and construction sectors
TRACTO is committed to imparting as much expertise as possible about trenchless construction. The training programme is correspondingly diverse: free online seminars on the advantages of NoDig technology contribute to greater acceptance of the methods on the part of contracting authorities. Construction and project managers can learn how to optimally monitor and manage Nodig projects in special courses. However, the focus of the training is on courses for users and operators of equipment bearing the Mole logo.
Tailored training courses for users
Traditionally, many user training courses are held at TRACTO from January to March, covering the entire portfolio. The high-quality courses for Grundomat soil displacement hammers, HDD drilling and Pipe Bursting technology convey theoretical and practical content in compact groups. All courses are tailored to the participants' level of knowledge and are conducted by certified trainers. The main objective is to enable users to operate the machine technology in a safe, effective and profitable manner. Another aspect is the maintenance and care of the equipment to ensure it lasts as long as possible. In all areas, training courses can also be arranged individually throughout the year, either on site at the customer's premises or at TRACTO locations.
EUSR accredited trainings in the UK
TRACTO Training courses also have a long tradition in Great Britain. TRACTO UK are recognised as an approved training provider by the Energy and Utility Skills Register, offering high quality training and assessment in the use of all trenchless equipment to British clients. All courses combine classroom and practical formats. The longest standing is the Moling operator course that focuses on safe and correct use of the GRUNDOMAT soil displacement hammer and accessories for pipe installation. Further EUSR accredited courses cover Horizontal Directional Drilling, Cable Winches and GRUNDOBURST Pipe bursting technology. Trainings are either held at TRACTO UK’s training centre in Bedford (England) or at a customer’s premises if desired.
Demonstrations and training with projects
TRACTO offers another form of knowledge and skills transfer through demonstrations and instructions, which are carried out worldwide by the Special Engineering Service department. These usually take place in connection with a specific construction project, so that the demonstrators can show all the details of the application under real conditions and very near to the actual practice, while at the same time carrying out a real pipe installation or renewal for the customer's client. For demonstrations, STS uses equipment from its own machine park. For customers who have purchased new machines themselves, STS instructs and trains staff and also helps with choosing the right tools, which can be rented if needed.
Designed to further develop operators' skills in NODIG technology, this comprehensive training programme draws on the manufacturer's expertise to help customers employ the different trenchless construction methods more effectively and efficiently, ultimately making them more profitable for their companies.
