STEGO Elektrotechnik GmbH has been an official partner in the sponsorship network of the HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim since the start of the current 2025/2026 season. Beyond their shared local roots, the company and the club are united by a common spirit.
(PresseBox) - When the HAKRO Merlins take to the court, it is not just a basketball team playing – an entire region is right there with them, sharing in victories and standing together in defeat. The HAKRO Merlins are a part of the region’s identity, with an impact that reaches far beyond regional borders. This is why STEGO Elektrotechnik GmbH is proud to support the “Wizards” as an official partner.
But what do control cabinet climate control and basketball have in common, apart from the fact that both are full of tension? At first glance, STEGO and the “Wizards” of the HAKRO Merlins – aside from their roots in Hohenlohe within the Heilbronn-Franken region – may not seem to have much in common.
However, Michael Dehnert, Managing Director of STEGO Elektrotechnik GmbH, sees many parallels:

The HAKRO Merlins and STEGO: two worlds, one spirit

Relegation to the ProA Basketball Bundesliga after the 2023/2024 season was a setback that may have slowed the “Wizards” down, but it did not stop them. Their goal is to return to Germany’s top basketball league in 2026 – the club’s 40th anniversary year. They are pursuing this objective in a systematic and focused way. With well-structured club management, a strong commitment to youth development, professional training conditions, and the support of a dedicated environment, they have already laid the foundation for future success.
