Leading Veterinary Specialty Center Staff and Volunteers Washing Dogs Nov. 5th to Raise Funds for "Cause Four Paws" Pet Charity
(firmenpresse) - TUCSON, AZ -- (Marketwire) -- 10/11/11 -- The Veterinary Specialty Center of Tucson () is throwing a dog wash from 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday, November 5th to benefit Cause Four Paws (), a non-profit organization helping pets and their owners in times of need.
Created by Veterinary Specialty Center of Tucson, Cause Four Paws is a way of giving back to the community. To be held at the VSCT parking lot at the southwest corner of La Canada and River, a minimum contribution of $5 will get your furry friend nice and clean.
"VSCT is happy to be able to host and staff this dog wash, which should not only be a lot of fun, but help clean a lot of 'dirty dogs' and raise money for Cause Four Paws, a charity very close to our hearts," stated Dr. Barbara Gores, Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Surgeons and Founding Owner of VSCT. "And a big thanks to all our staff for volunteering their free time to pitch in on this effort, including Jan Woods, VSCT Hospital Administrator, co-owner and Cause Four Paws president."
Cause Four Paws provides assistance for acutely ill or injured animals. Many people in Southern Arizona live below the poverty level. For those households, specialty and emergency veterinary care is often out of financial reach. Cause Four Paws works to assist owners when their best friend is injured or acutely ill.
"Your contributions will help people of limited income whose pets need acute emergency or specialty care at Veterinary Specialty Center of Tucson. Cause Four Paws also provides cutting edge information to veterinary professionals, veterinary scholarships to low-income students, and access to a library of current veterinary textbooks, journals, databases, and online services," stated Woods.
