WebLayers Announces Version 6.0
(firmenpresse) - CAMBRIDGE, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/12/11 -- WebLayers, Inc. today announced the latest release of its flagship automated governance software, WebLayers Center 6.0. The new software will help reduce the costly developer errors and potential software flaws and glitches that result from policy violations, provide greater transparency and visibility into business processes, and extend the value of existing technology investments throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
The expanded release of version 6.0 will include new language support, integration and enhanced functionality for its enterprise and government customers.
Version 6.0 includes expanded support for languages including C, C++ and PL/I, as well as support for Rational Developer for System Z, allowing for the ability to govern remote artifacts on the mainframe. New technology has been added that will expand and analyze mainframe applications while mapping policy violations back to the original components. WebLayers is the first governance solution in the industry to support this type of functionality for mainframe customers.
The 6.0 release also features enhanced dashboards and reporting functionality. This includes the ability to save customized reports based upon the specific needs of particular users and user groups. Customers can create dashboard views that greatly increase the effectiveness of software development governance in environments with large and varied software deployments.
