Pura Vida Tequila Company Names Mike Kirten as Texas Managing Director
(firmenpresse) - HOUSTON, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 10/12/11 -- , in yet another strategic move illuminating the company's ability to stay ahead of the curve, has announced the promotion of to the position of Texas Managing Director. Kirten joined the high-end tequila manufacturer in April 2011 as the Regional Director of South East Texas where he quickly surpassed the high expectations anticipated for his tenure. In his new position he will oversee all Texas sales operations.

A graduate of Sam Houston State University with a BA in Business Management and a minor in Marketing, Kirten consistently excelled as a top performer as a Sales Representative at Republic National Distributing Company in Houston. At RNDC he was instrumental in the education of staff and clients to increase sales of new products and the successful placement of products in the marketplace. In his position as General Manager at Berryhill Baja Grill and Cantina, he proved his skills in creating effective and creative promotions increasing alcohol and food sales beyond anyone's expectations and implemented spectacular Cinco de Mayo celebration spanning Market Street in The Woodlands, Texas.
In his new position, Kirten will take the helm and lead the other five Pura Vida Texas Regional Directors to create solid and effective results-oriented promotional campaigns both on and off premise. Kirten will work with his counterparts in California and Mexico to ensure climbing sales of the only ultra-premium tequila at under $30.
Pura Vida Tequila currently offers the Texas market a line of ultra-premium tequilas in three expressions: Silver, Gold and Añejo. An Extra-Añejo label will be released 4th Quarter 2011. With sales through the third quarter of 2011 at 396% of projections, Pura Vida's highly anticipated launch in California is slated for October 16, 2011.
