Vancouver, British Columbia, October 13, 2011 - Alix Resources (TSXV:AIX)
(Frankfurt:37N) accounted for 3 1/2% of yesterday's total volume on the TSX
Venture Exchange, with the shares closing at $0.17, a gain of 36% on volume of
6.4 million shares, following the report of drill results.

The company announced an intercept of 256 metres grading 1.5 grams per tonne
gold, 12.15 grams per tonne silver and .11% copper, from the surface in the
first hole reported. The second hole intercepted 92.9 metres grading 1.39 grams
per tonne gold, 6.15 grams per tonne silver and 0.06% copper, starting at a
depth of 105 metres. These drill results came from the company's Golden Zone
Breccia Pipe deposit in the Valdez Creek Mining District, which is located in
south-central Alaska.
In January, the company released a NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate for the
Golden Zone Breccia, by Norwest Corporation, indicating the deposit to contain,
at a 1.0 grams per tonne cut-off, 3,169,331 tonnes (3,486,250 tons) of measured
and indicated material averaging 3.02 grams per ton gold and containing 279,166
ounces of gold, 1,523,657 ounces of silver and 7,112,000 pounds of copper. A NI
43-101 revised resource model was also released around the same time.
