Mr. Dry is a Metallurgical Consultant based in Peterborough (Ontario), an expert in the conventional and innovative metallurgical circuits applied to the recovery of valuable metals from ores and wastes, particularly, in the hydrometallurgical processing technology. He has over 30 years experience in hydrometallurgy with 5 years managing the applied research side. He obtained his PhD from the University of the Witwatersrand in Engineering and a B.Sc. from the University of Cape Town in Chemical Engineering. He is a Member of the CIM Metallurgical Society, Hydrometallurgy Section Committee.
Mr. Michael Curtis, President and CEO of NEVADO, stated "We are very privileged with Michael Dry joining our team. His expertise in hydrometallurgy, in leading technical teams, modeling unit operations and flowsheets, as well as process economics will be instrumental in the coming months to enhance the quality, scope and financial profitability of La Blache Project as the NEOMET Stage 2 hydrometallurgical test work is nearing completion."
NEVADO is well poised to determine the full Iron, Titanium and Vanadium oxides mineralization and size potential of its top four priority targets at La Blache, which NEVADO believes may host as much as 200 million tonnes of mineralization. It is expected that by year-end NEVADO will have reached a key milestone in the project that will include approximately 25,000 metres drilled, the completion of NI-43-101 compliant mineral resources estimates on the most extensive oxides mineralization to date at Farrell-Taylor, the completion of the second stage metallurgical testing and a Preliminary Economic Assessment.
Diamond drilling campaign at the La Blache Iron-Titanium-Vandium Project
NEVADO has already completed 5,385 metres of the 15,000 metres, multi-stage and helicopter-supported diamond drilling program. The program at this time totals 10,000 metres and focuses on:
The remaining 5,000 metres will be added on a target-by-target basis depending on results.
