PKR's Annual Autumn Festival Brightens Up the Season

(firmenpresse) - LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 10/20/11 -- Online poker site PKR.com has announced the fifth outing of its popular online poker festival. Starting October 21st (today) and running through the 30th, the festival will feature 10 events and boasts an expected prize pool of $115,000.

The schedule for Oktoberfest 2011 is tailored to appeal to everyone with both speed and long running deep stack tournaments included in the schedule. Additionally, there is the player favourite Terminator event along with a new Turbo Triple Chance and a PLO event for the Omaha aficionados.

Cardroom Manager Neil Wright said, "The Oktoberfest has always been a big draw and something the players really enjoy. This year we have reworked the schedule with some new and fun additions, so it should be a ten days of great action!"

The closing tournament of the Oktoberfest, the $33 Main Event will have its final table televised and broadcast to millions across Europe on The Poker Channel and also be aired on youtube.com and - PKR.com's very own web-based video channel.

Players can register for the tournament directly from the PKR lobby now but can also win tickets via the various satellite tournaments surrounding the event. These satellites are active prior to and during the festival, allowing some players to join in for as little as $1.

Alternatively, players can gain entry through the variety of lotteries available from PKR. There are many ways to get involved and Oktoberfest is expected to be even more popular this year as PKR continues to go from strength to strength.
