Ahlstrom completes personnel negotiations at its Karhula plant in
Finland

(Thomson Reuters ONE) - Ahlstrom Corporation PRESS RELEASE 4.11.2009Ahlstrom has completed the personnel negotiations started onSeptember 22, 2009 at its plant in Karhula, Finland. As a result ofthe reorganization of operations and production adjustments, 59blue-collar and 17 white-collar employees will be laid off.Additionally, temporary layoffs will continue in order to adapt theproduction volumes to the demand.The reductions will be implemented as of November 2009.Ahlstrom's plant in Karhula, Finland, is part of the company's Glass& Industrial Nonwovens business area. The plant currently employsapproximately 350 employees, of which 250 are blue-collar and 100 arewhite-collar employees.Ahlstrom has adjustment actions under way globally.
