EXTRAORDINARY DIVIDEND

ELISA STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 21 OCTOBER 2011 AT 8.31am
Elisa's Board of Directors has decided on an extraordinary dividend of EUR
0.40 per share. This is based on the 2010 Financial Statements and on the
authorisation of additional distribution to a maximum EUR 70 million from the
Annual General Meeting. This decision is based on the favourable development of
the company's result and financial position as well as maintaining the company's
capital structure in line with the set financial targets.
The extraordinary dividend totals EUR 62.4 million and will be distributed out
of retained earnings. No dividend will be paid on treasury shares held by Elisa.
The extraordinary dividend affect Elisa 2007 stock options by reducing the
strike price of the series 2007B stock options to EUR 8.17 and series 2007C
stock options to EUR 11.27.
The extraordinary dividend ex-date is 24 October 2011 and it will be paid to
shareholders listed in the company's share register maintained by Euroclear
Finland Ltd as of 26 October 2011. The payment will start on 2 November 2011.
