Company to Host Panel Session at 4G World Conference in Chicago

(firmenpresse) - CAMPBELL, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/23/11 -- today announced that it is hosting a panel discussion on microwave backhaul options in saturated spectrum environments at the 4G World Conference, October 24-27, in Chicago. Panelists include Swati MajumderStaff Vice President at CTO's Office, MetroPCS; Vijay Lewis, Vice President of Technology & Chief Network Architect, FiberTower Corporation; and Eric Miller, Senior Wireless Strategist, Strategic Development Group, XO Communications.

The deployment of new public and private high-speed access networks has driven similar growth in the use of microwave as a primary means of backhaul, as only microwave and fiber have the ability to meet the throughput demands of these 21st-century networks. However, the increase in microwave use has made even scarcer already congested spectrum. The challenge of providing connections to support small cells and other nodes will require the creative use of available common carrier bands, as well as other bands that can support dense concentrations of microwave links. In this session, Exalt and other industry experts will discuss the challenges and opportunities associated with microwave deployments in both traditional and non-traditional frequency bands.

Wednesday, October 26, 2011
3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
In addition to the panel session, Exalt will be available to discuss backhaul infrastructure challenges and solutions in its exhibit, booth #1412, at the concurrent 4G World Expo.
