(firmenpresse) - LOS ANGELES, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/24/11 -- The Mobile Excellence Awards, presented by Verizon Wireless Developer Group and produced by Little Monster Media Productions and Axis Entertainment, Inc., today announces the 2011 Mobile Excellence Award finalists. The 2011 MEA winners will be honored and announced on Monday, December 5th at the Luxury Sofitel Hotel in Los Angeles, CA at an exclusive cocktail reception and awards program which will consist of legendary entertainment and technology influencers and leaders from every span of the mobile ecosystem. Hosting this year's event is celebrity Comedian/Actress and SNL Veteran, Cheri Oteri.
The Mobile Excellence Awards organization is created to honor excellence in mobile entertainment and technology while celebrating the top innovators and rising stars. The coveted awards are the most prestigious and influential awards program in the mobile industry and is sponsored in part by AEG Live, YouTube, The Weather Channel, Alcatel Lucent, Airkast, Mobile Monday, Axis PR, and many others. The MEAs are also supported by industry leading, global organizations, United Future, Open-First, Axis PR, Major Media Partners include Venture Beat, Interactive Television Alliance, Wireless Industry Partners, Mobilized TV and others.

The panel of esteemed judges was handpicked from industry leaders, chosen from the mobile and digital entertainment industries representing the creative community, major media companies, and digital & mobile media services. The judges will be scoring and selecting MEA winners based upon strategic initiatives and objectives, impact of technology used, creativity, ease of use and reach, and execution as well as proven market success.
This year's finalists fall under eighteen different categories spanning across the mobile ecosystem. In addition, a special honorary award for the Industry Star Award which recognizes the fastest growing Mobile company based on accelerated growth, impact, and industry achievements overall.
