SuVolta to Present Benefits of Low-Power Circuit Design at the 2nd Berkeley Symposium on Energy Efficient Electronic Systems

ID: 82017

(firmenpresse) - LOS GATOS, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/31/11 -- SuVolta, Inc., a developer of scalable low-power CMOS technologies, today announced that Dr. Robert Rogenmoser, SuVolta's senior vice president of product development and engineering, will join industry experts and academia in presenting the benefits of low-power circuit design at the 2nd Berkeley Symposium on Energy Efficient Electronic Systems.

On November 3, Dr. Rogenmoser will discuss the negative impact of high transistor variability on power and performance, and its effect on energy efficiency. Dr. Rogenmoser's presentation is titled "Low Transistor Variability - The Key to Energy Efficient ICs."

SuVolta recently announced its , which reduces IC power consumption by 50 percent or more while maintaining circuit performance. The novel DDC transistor structure enables scaling (reduction) of two of the most critical transistor parameters -- scaling of supply voltage, and scaling of transistor size to the sub-20nm node and smaller -- yet it remains compatible with existing fabrication facilities and design technologies.
